Georg from sigur rós discusses gogoyoko, an online music store where artists receive 100% of the sales revenue from their works, which is part of their “fair play in music” business model.
The content is primarily northern European so far and the pricing is in Euros. Not surprising since the project originates from that part of the world. Signing up for a free account allows you to listen to all of the music via stream and participate in the social networking aspect of the site. It’s also worth noting that 10% of the retail price of each purchase is donated to one of gogoyoko’s charity partners.
